‘Emerging practice in active environmental water management in Australia’ is the report of a workshop of that name, run by eWater CRC and the National Water Commission in February 2009.
The workshop brought together professional practitioners in active environmental water management from all states and territories, to discuss technical, scientific and other challenges and successes in this emerging field.
The day’s discussions, together with the findings of a preceding investigation of eight case-study areas across Australia, revealed several important messages about the current practice of environmental water management, which are summarised in this report.
