eWater research and technology development people have a strong track record of working effectively with water industry partners.
eWater reseachers built (and still maintain) a range of hydrologic and ecologic predictive models and decision support systems used by water managers. eWater researchers played key scientific roles in developing environmental flows, river restoration, water sensitive urban design in Melbourne and Brisbane, and ecological monitoring and assessment programs.
Our research outputs are driven by, and strongly integrated with, our technology portfolio. Our researchers play key roles in product teams, as designers, advisers and developers working alongside industry practitioners and end-users.
In support of our technologies, our research programs:
- Deliver the core models and knowledge outputs to assemble our products;
- Analyse risks that could affect the successful use of these products in the future (e.g. climate change);
- Develop the intellectual capital and innovation needed to respond to the market.
Our research activities support implementation of the National Water Initiative and are aligned with National Research Priorities. eWater's access to world-class scientific expertise allows us to generate knowledge-based management tools and technologies founded on the best available science.
